What is a webring? A webring is a way to group together sites with similar content by linking them together in a circle, or ring.
The idea is that once you are at one site in the webring, you can click on a "Next" or "Previous" link to go to adjacent sites in the ring and--if you do it long enough--end up where you started.
This is something you can do without the webring system by simply having each page owner link their site to the next. However, when somebody wants to join the ring, someone has to edit their page to point to the new page and it becomes more and more difficult to keep the ring intact as the ring grows.
The webring system avoids this problem. When you add your page to a webring, you'll add a constant bit of HTML code that never changes. Links point to a special CGI script at webring.org that will send people to the
next (or previous) site in the ring. Because the central ring database is located in one location, sites can be added and removed quickly and easily, and because the webring CGI allows you to continue past sites that are unreachable, you will always be able to continue around the loop.
There is no charge to join a webring.
Who can join this webring? This webring is open to all Triangle Fraternity chapters, associations, brothers, and pledges.
Submit your URL using the link below. You must follow the instructions in the e-mail you receive, get the webring navigation code, and add it to your page.
Once the ring manager has verified that your page contains the correct code, your page will be added to the ring and you will be notified via email.
