Triangle Building Program
A Comprehensive Program for Chapter Development

TRIANGLE BUILDING is a comprehensive program for Chapter Development. Through use of evaluations, it defines the various Chapter Programming areas. Then, through a process of planning, TRIANGLE BUILDING facilitates the development of strong chapter programming.

Some important features of Triangle building include: The chapter evaluation, which allows all members to collectively determine the performance of the chapter, while at the same time exposing them to all aspects of fraternity programming. Also, the Plan of Action developed by the chapter serves as a tangible result of the group's efforts and allows them to monitor their success in meeting selected goals.

This program guide provides enough information to conduct a chapter evaluation and develop a Plan of Action for the semester or year. However, it is up to the individual chapter to tailor Triangle Building to its individual needs.

Please let National Council know how the program works for your chapter. We would like to hear about both successes and any problems so that we may improve this manual.

The TRIANGLE BUILDING process consists of three steps:

  1. Evaluation of Current Chapter Performance
Individuals and group evaluate current Chapter Performance in all TRIANGLE BUILDING program areas.
  2. Establishment of Goals to Improve or Maintain Chapter Performance
Review chapter evaluation. Recognize Areas of Excellence and Areas in Need of Improvement. Determine which of these shall be deemed Critical. Review Critical Areas. Formulate goals to improve the Critical Areas. Determine which Brothers have responsibility to initiate and monitor action to achieve goals. These men shall be considered TRIANGLE BUILDING PROGRAMMERS.
  3. Planning, Coordination, and Action by the Programmers
Develop a specific plan of action for each TRIANGLE BUILDING program area. Individual plans of action are combined to form the complete TRIANGLE BUILDING PLAN OF ACTION.
