Triangle Fraternity - Developing balanced men in engineering, architecture and science by providing an environment which fosters personal growth and professional success

Use this form if you are a Triangle member and want to register for The Herbert Scobie Leadership School.

If you are attending the alumni academy, you can use this same form.

The Herbert Scobie Leadership School is designed to provide leadership training to men who are primarily in their first year or two of membership, but all Triangle actives are welcome.

No previous leadership experience is necessary; however, participants will need to:

Possess a strong desire to learn about themselves,
Be committed to the values of Triangle,
Be an active participant throughout Leadership School,
Be willing to plot a course of action for their undergraduate fraternity experience and beyond.

The Scobie Leadership School will be held June 26-29, 2008 in Terre Haute, Indiana on the campus of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Attendees need to arrive by 1:00pm on Thursday, June 26th . The Leadership school will conclude at noon on Sunday, June 29th.

Each active organization (chapter and colony) is billed for two attendees and has two reserved spaces. It is possible we will have room for more people from your active organization to attend, so if you are interested in sending more than two men to Scobie Leadership School, please let Rhonda Halcomb know (Rhonda@triangle.org). The cost per person is $75. Each active organization will be billed $150 (the cost of two men at $75 each). Active organizations will receive a bill for two members to attend no later than March 31, 2008. Payment must be received by April 30, 2008. Additional men beyond the two automatically billed will receive invoices for their Scobie expenses after the leadership school. Alumni who register for Scobie will be billed $75 for the leadership school; this includes lodging in a residence hall, all meals, and all curriculum materials. If you want to stay at a hotel instead of the residence hall, please email our Executive Director, Brian Tenclinger (brian@triangle.org) and indicate you want a hotel room for Scobie. The cost is $109 per night (plus tax).
Travel to the Scobie Leadership School
For those members that are more than a 5-hour drive from the Rose-Hulman campus, they will have an opportunity to apply for a scholarship to apply towards their travel. To apply for a travel scholarship, send an email message to our Executive Director, Brian Tenclinger (brian@triangle.org) with the subject line: "travel scholarship for Scobie." Include your circumstances and where you will be coming from. The deadline to apply for a travel scholarship is Monday, April 21, 2008. Funds are limited so please pay attention to the travel scholarship deadline. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you have received notification about your scholarship application.
