UWM Hammers Out New Chapter Strategies Working with National Headquarters, A New Focus is Developed
The University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee is a chapter ready and excited to make some great things happen for themselves. To start their school year, they planned a chapter retreat to focus on new strategies for recruitment, motivation within the chapter, and working with their Alumni.

Chapter President Joe Fahrenkopf uwm04 spent time with Adam Case cin01, Director of Chapter Growth with the Fraternity Headquarters developing the content and outline for this day of thinking and planning.

Based on their day together, the chapter is going to approach recruitment with a new philosophy. They are slowly working towards non events-based recruitment. This successful type of recruitment involves commitment from the chapter members to always be on the lookout for potential new members vs. commitment to attend specific events during one or two weeks out of the year. They are excited about undertaking this new philosophy and are hopeful of the results they will achieve, both within the chapter and professionally.

After a receiving the fifth place overall Chapter Performance Award at this year's National Convention, the membership knew that things could only get bigger and better for them. The current undergraduate members have developed their networking skills to improve their recruitment efforts, valuable skills which we know will benefit them after college. These increased networking skills, coupled with new ideas on how to recruit new members, have prepared the chapter for success.

The alumni board has revamped themselves over the passed year. Besides managing the chapter house facility, they are focused on mentoring the chapter. They have also tackled the chapter database to make sure they have the right information for all Triangle brothers that have passed through the doors at UWM.
