Convention22

When Should I Arrive?

All participants should plan to arrive to the hotel no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1. This should allow you enough time to pick up the needed information at the registration table, check into your hotel room, change (if necessary), and be on time to the first Convention Business session at 3 p.m. The dinner and welcome event is at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening.

Hotel check-in is 3 p.m. Convention attendees will have priority early check-in from 1 p.m. IF rooms are available and ready.

How Do I Get a Hotel Room?

HQ will take care of room assignments for all voting delegates. Each registered delegate gets three nights of shared room and registration fees paid. The registration process will allow you to request a preferred roommate, or choose to pay for a single room upgrade if you are attending with a spouse or family. In addition, the hotel will allow up to four students to a room, so if you have additional attendees from your chapter, they can stay in your paid delegate room for an additional cost ($20 per additional student, per day).

HQ also will make reservations for National Board members and special guests. HQ staff will work with those attendees to accommodate their travel plans.

All other attendees can reserve a room at our guaranteed group rate by using the link below. Our Triangle group rate of $159 per night (plus tax and fees) is offered three days before and three days after our event, in case you want to extend your Milwaukee visit.  NOTE: Reservations must be made before July 10, to be eligible for our special group rate. After that date, if rooms are available, regular guest rates will apply.

Traveling to Milwaukee & the Hyatt Regency

The Milwaukee International Airport (MKE) gets very busy in summer, but is a very good airport experience. It is served by all major airline carriers, though our partner for Convention is Delta Airlines.

The Hyatt Regency hotel is about 10 miles (15 minutes from the airport), with inexpensive city intermodal and buses to downtown. Lyft and Uber average $25-$30 one-way, taxis are about $45, and there are shared airport shuttles that run about the same as Uber/Lyft, but may stop at several hotels along the way. The airport has most major rental car companies, but summer is the high season for rentals, so shop and reserve early. Click here for airport transportation options.

For those traveling by car (or renting one on arrival), daily parking at the hotel is currently running $34 for valet and $28 for self-park. The parking garage is adjacent to the hotel with elevators and easy hotel access from levels 1 and 2.  There are a number of parking options downtown, so you may be able to find discounts with apps like SpotHero or Parking.com  to find and reserve parking in one of several downtown garages.

What Does the Agenda Look Like?

From reunions to Ritual, the 2024 Convention has it all. We are working on a detailed program book that will be available for download shortly. Additionally, we will have printed copies for you to have on-site! Until then, find the proposed agenda online HERE.
