CONVENTION INFORMATION
CONVENTION OVERVIEW
The Biennial National Convention offers a unique opportunity for Triangle’s of all ages from many parts of the country to meet in the true spirit of brotherhood. Since 1909, the National Convention has held all supreme and legislative powers of the Fraternity. National Convention has six main responsibilities and objectives. They include:
- Installing the National Council
- Enacting legislation for the regulation of the Fraternity
- Providing education for active and alumni members
- Offering opportunities for socializing and networking among brothers
- Honoring chapters and members
- Inducting the new classes of the Wall of Fame
One of the more important decisions a chapter makes is the selection of its delegate(s) to the National Convention, because all formal action taken at the National Convention is the result of democratic voting, and it is typical for chapter delegates to constitute at least 60 percent of the total vote. Those with voting privileges at the National Convention include:
- Active chapter delegates (2 per chapter)
- Active chapter alumni delegate (1 per chapter)
- Alumni association delegate (1 per association)
- Members of the National Council

WALL OF FAME INDUCTEES
In 1995, the National Council established the Triangle Wall of Fame, an ongoing project to recognize our members who have received widespread acknowledgment of success within their chosen fields. At this Convention, Triangle Fraternity will recognize the inductees of the Wall of Fame classes elected since the last convention.
| NEW WALL OF FAME INDUCTEES WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY JUNE |
CONVENTION & LEGISLATION PROPOSALS
Convention Business Sessions will take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. During this time we will discuss the future of the Fraternity and vote on several legislative amendments involving the Constitution and/or Bylaws. A packet summarizing the proposed legislation, their origins and how they would change our governing documents will be provided via email to all registered attendees and available for download online by May.
We also will host two or more Zoom events to highlight the proposed legislation and answer questions from participants. All delegates should plan to read all legislative proposals and/or attend one or more Zoom events so they will be prepared for the discussions and voting at Convention.

Alisa Allen there would be happy to help you plan your trip and can provide our United discount if you are flying United. Contact her at alisa.allen@altour.com or by phone at 972-792-3663. Whether just for the Convention, or an extended stay to take advantage of the city, Alisa can help with bookings and referrals.
Should you fly American, Delta, or United, please consider adding our corporate travel ID number to your purchase to benefit Triangle. Delta SkyBonus ID #US0087343. The Denver Airport has a number of convenient transportation options to get you downtown (only 30 minutes away), including inexpensive light rail. In addition, most major national car rental companies operate at DEN. Denver is in the Mountain Time Zone and July/August will be during Daylight Savings Time. Uber/Lyft should run between $25 and $35 and take about 25 minutes. RTD Light Rail will cost about $10 (A Train from DEN to Peoria Station, then R Train to Colfax Station), but will take nearly an hour, due to stops, and require a 7-block walk or taxi from the station to the hotel.
Hyatt Regency Hotel Location & Parking
The Hyatt Regency Hotel is located at 13200 East 14th Place in Aurora, just across from the University of Colorado Medical School and minutes from the Denver Zoo and Buckley Space Force Base. Click Here to see some of the area points of interest, such as the Wings Across the Rockies Air & Space Museum.
For those traveling by car to Aurora (or renting a car when you arrive), Convention guests can use the Hyatt Regency parking garage for only $7.50 per day – billed to your room. Attendees from off-site can park at $15 a day and there are EV charging stations for electric/hybrid vehicles.

I HAVE BEEN SELECTED AS ONE OF MY CHAPTER'S VOTING DELEGATES. HOW DO I REGISTER?
On the National Convention homepage – www.triangle.org/convention – click the button under the middle image “REGISTER NOW” and you will be directed to the registration page. On the registration page choose “Voting Undergraduate Delegate” or “Voting Alumnus Delegate”. There is no cost if you register by July 1.
While costs for Convention registration and hotel accommodations have been pre-billed for active and alumni organizations, a $25 late will is assessed for registrations after July 1. Also, if your chapter has not paid it’s annual chapter fees, you will either need to do so, or pay for the full registration fee PLUS your hotel room.
While a hotel room is built into the National Meeting Assessment fee, after July 9th the hotel block will close. If you are voting delegate and have registered after July 9, please email Rhonda Halcomb at rhonda@triangle.org or call (317) 837-9640 so she may work to make hotel arrangements. We cannot guarantee rooms will be available after that date.
*During the registration process you have the option to add a spouse/guest, select a single room, and various other add-on’s. These items are NOT included in the pre-billed cost. In order to complete registration, you must purchase these options upon registration check-out.
HOW MANY REGISTRATION SPOTS HAS MY CHAPTER PRE-PAID?
Each active organization is entitled to two Undergraduate Voting Delegates and each alumni organization is entitled to one Alumnus Voting Delegate. These delegates have been pre-paid as part of the National Meeting Fee. Please insure your chapter is current with these fee payments. These fees cover the costs of three shared room nights, as well as the meals and materials provided during the event dates. Chapters not current in these fees should contact Rhonda Halcomb (rhonda@triangle.org) before May 15 to discuss options. Colonies and Interest Groups are welcome to attend, but delegates do not have a vote. Please contact us at HQ@triangle.org for information on costs.
I AM A VOTING DELEGATE BUT WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND MY STAY AT THE HOTEL OUTSIDE THE PRE-BILLED DATES. CAN I DO SO? HOW?
While the National Meeting Fee covers the cost of voting delegate’s registration and the hotel room from the afternoon of July 30 to the morning of August 2, it does not cover extended hotel stays. Our special event rate of $179 per night (plus tax/fees) is good for three days before and after our Convention dates (July 30-August 1).
If you choose to extend your stay register for Convention, then book your hotel for ONLY the extended dates. After booking please notify Rhonda Halcomb at (317) 837-9640 or email rhonda@triangle.org with your extended hotel confirmation information, so we may tie your extended booking and the pre-booked Convention hotel room together. Failure to do so may result in individuals having to check out and check in multiple times during a single stay.
If you are not a voting delegate, or are a delegate wanting to extend your stay early or late, you can reserve a room at our Triangle group rate at the link below. Keep in mind, reservations must be made by July 9, to receive our special group rates.

I AM A VOTING DELEGATE PLANNING TO BRING MY MY SPOUSE AND/OR FAMILY MEMBER. HOW DO I REGISTER THEM?
For those registering a spouse or guest, you will simply need to first register yourself and then select “Yes” when asked if you are attending with a Spouse or Guest. You will then list the names and email addresses of each of your guest’s names. Additionally, you will have the options for various add-ons for those guests (i.e. Nightly activities, the Wall of Fame luncheon, single room upcharge, etc.). Contact us at hq@triangle.org if you need any assistance.
I AM AN ALUMNUS WHO IS ONLY PLANNING TO ATTEND PART OF CONVENTION. CAN I DO THIS WITHOUT PAYING THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE?
Absolutely! Any alumnus is welcome to attend Convention and, for your convenience, may choose to attend for a shortened-time via the weekend-package, or by purchasing only specific events, such as the Closing Banquet. Especially for Denver area alumni, specific event registrations are a great way to attend during the specific time/s you may have available.
Weekend Package ($300): Weekend attendees will receive the welcome gift and be registered to attend the Friday College Night Dinner and Awards, Saturday Wall of Fame luncheon, Closing Banquet, and evening hospitality suite invitation. Otherwise, you may choose to purchase only the Wall of Fame or Closing Banquet individually for $75 or $100, respectively.
For accurate meal counts please select the meals that you do intend on attending. Please note that this fee DOES NOT include lodging. You will need to book your hotel room separately using this link: CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR HOTEL ROOM.
ARE THERE TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ATTENDEES?
No, there are not. Nor are travel costs reimburseable/eligible for payment from Chapter Endowment Funds within the Triangle Education Foundation. Convention is not considered an educational program like our Leadership & Training Weekend (LTW) or Herb Scobie Leadership School.
All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to/from Denver. Because of Denver’s popularity in summer, there are usually very reasonable flights on all major and economy carriers from almost every major metropolitan area.
Campus chapters, colonies and interest groups might consider contacting a chapter near them and sharing rides. Also, many campuses offer student organization funds to help recognized campus groups attend national events. Contact your campus fraternity/sorority or Greek Life office to find out whether funds might be available to you. Finally, a number of Triangle groups have alumni who help with small donations to offset travel costs, or even may receive funds from their housing corporation. Talk with your alumni board to see what might be possible.
THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO IN DENVER/AURORA, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. WHAT DO I DO? WHERE DO I GO?
We want you to be creative and choose whatever you want to do one of the best summer cities in the country. The Visit Denver and Visit Aurora Tourist and Visitors Bureaus have created websites to help our guests connect with local events, actvities, and venues. They also have Visitors Guides you can download at the links below, with options for entertainment, dining, shopping and sightseeing. Regardless of your interests, you will have lots of choices in Colorado!
I DON'T SEE THE ANSWER TO A QUESTION I HAVE!
Don’t worry. If you have a question email us at hq@triangle.org, or call us at (317) 837-9640. At Triangle Headquarters we are happy to help and make the registration process as smooth as possible.
