By Tom Pennington, Executive Director One item that came through clearly from our membership survey is your concern for better education and support to deal with member mental health and stress.  We’re on it and will have some excellent research-based programs to announce this Fall that will provide online training for officers and alumni volunteers, as well as people you can contact if you need help.  Through a special arrangement with our insurance broker JR Favor & Co, we are building a relationship with the JED Foundation to provide top-class resources for your use. For this and other member health and safety issues, I want to encourage every chapter to dedicate one officer to this purpose.  That can be your risk management chair, a brotherhood or health and safety chairman, or your Vice President.  We want to be able to contact a specific person with the information and resources and have confidence they will share it with the chapter.  We also want that person to be coordinating education and training for members. Thanks to many of you who participated in our online membership survey.  If you haven’t done so yet, please use the links below to provide your feedback… it’s been very valuable for the Council and Staff and will help us set priorities and programs this year.
