TRI-CON 2021 – Online June 26/27
Triangle’s Convention for this summer has been moved online and we are moving our in-person Orlando, Florida Convention to July 7-10, 2022. To celebrate the online nature of the event, we have named this summer’s program TRI-CON 2021. With the ease of online participation, we hope many more members than usual will be able to attend.

Chapters will be receiving more information in the coming months, but should elect delegates to participate in the online program. We are scheduling for about five hours on Saturday, June 26th to include reports from the Fraternity, Foundation and Housing Corp, Review and Votes on Legislation and Installation of the National Council. An additional three hours is scheduled on Sunday, June 27 for additional reports and recognitions and the Chapter Awards Program, including the $100,000 Building Better Men Award winners.

Recruitment Update
So far, chapters working closely with Jim Phillips and our Growth Success Program are showing an average 30% new member increase over Spring 2020. If your chapter is not working with Jim, you may not be as successful as possible. Contact him at jim@triangle.org for a chapter recruitment assessment. Also, if your chapter does not already have a trained alumnus Recruitment Coach, contact Jim to identify, recruit and train someone to assist your chapter. For new and current members who want more/better education in organizational growth, we have an online training module here: https://buildtriangle.thinkific.com/ It’s a must for new members who want to help recruit right away!

Initiations Reminder
Please note the Bylaws require candidates for initiation be reported at least 14 days prior to the date of initiation. This is also important for chapters that wish to take advantage of the short-form “virtual” initiation, as Council will need to approve that process and solicit Council members to attend (see more here: https://www.triangle.org/hqupdate-052520/).

From the Desk of Rhonda…

  • Chapters will be billed the second $600 installment for their annual Chapter Fee this month.
  • Alumni organizations will be invoiced $720 for their annual Chapter Assessment Fee ($480) and Alumni Organization dues ($240) around mid-March.
  • Chapters who owed registration for LTW were invoiced on March 1.
  • Reminder: Please request initiations of new members at least 14 days prior to the initiation date so our staff has time to process the request and ship the approved documents, pins and badges for the new initiates in a timely manner.
  • For questions about any of the above, contact Rhonda Halcomb at rhonda@triangle.org

December and May Grads – Stay Connected
All members who graduated in December or who intend to graduate in May/June are asked to update their contact information when they are settled. Moving to a new city? Have a new phone? Update your contact info to make sure you continue to receive The REVIEW and so the contact updates we provide to chapters and area alumni groups are accurate. Update online here: https://www.triangle.org/alumni/alumni-contact-update/ Also, consider setting up an account with our private membership group at TriangleConnect.org.

Volunteer Appreciation Week
One of Triangle’s greatest treasures is the wealth of volunteers who help support our members and chapters. April 18-24 has been selected as a week to recognize these individuals for the valuable work they do. If you know of a volunteer who deserves recognition, email cloveless@triangle.org with their name and what they’ve done for you or your chapter.
