Triangle Fraternity is pleased to announce Jeff Hughes as Director of Alumni Engagement.  In this role, Hughes will foster connections through leadership development, mentoring, networking and educational opportunities that are in alignment with the overall fraternity strategic plan.

“We are very excited to have Jeff join our team.  He brings a wealth of experience in alumni relations and in the technology and media used to engage them.  Jeff’s skill set will allow him to get up and running quickly to provide support and programs for our national network of alumni volunteers and chapters serving our 18,000+ living alumni.”, said Executive Director Tom Pennington.

As Triangle Fraternity’s Director of Alumni Engagement, Hughes will work to build a stronger alumni support program by enhancing alumni communication and networking, creating new alumni events and opportunities, and partnering to develop alumni and volunteer training and resources.

Prior to joining Triangle Fraternity National Headquarters, Hughes spent nearly two decades as a volunteer or staff member in the fraternity industry. As a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity since 2000, Hughes held both regional and national level volunteer positions before becoming a staff member for six years. He most recently served Alpha Kappa Psi as the Director of Technology & Alumni Development and was recognized for his volunteer efforts with a first-degree Silver Distinguished Service Award.

Hughes has been a member of Sigma Kappa Alpha, a local social fraternity from his undergraduate alma mater, University of Redlands, since 1992. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Hughes went on to get both his Master of Science in Management Information Systems and an MBA from the University of South Florida. He has had numerous leadership roles throughout his career and enjoys speaking in front of large groups on topics such as leadership, alumni relations, recruitment, parliamentary procedure, and volunteer management. Hughes is a Certified Professional Coach and an officer of his local Knights of Columbus.
