Plainfield, IN — Triangle Building & Housing Corporation (TBHC) proudly announces the addition of the University of Michigan Chapter to its portfolio of owned and supported properties. This marks a significant milestone in TBHC’s continued expansion and commitment to providing safe, affordable, and mission-aligned housing for its members across the country.
The University of Michigan Chapter has demonstrated strong momentum and consistent growth. TBHC’s acquisition and future development of housing solutions for the chapter represent a long-term investment in the success and sustainability of Triangle’s presence in Ann Arbor.
“The Michigan Triangle organization was our first client some 10-years ago when the Building Loan Fund (BLF) transitioned to the Triangle Building & Housing Corporation (TBHC) in 2014. Up until now, TBHC has been proudly serving as the chapter’s property management vendor, and it has been a wonderful partnership. We are so pleased they have recently decided to deed their historic property with the TBHC portfolio, and we will honor their trust by ensuring an infinite future of Triangle Fraternity at the University of Michigan. TBHC will diligently be stewarding the property assets into the future to keep the house competitive and safe for our Michigan members on the Ann Arbor campus,” said Mike Fouts, Executive Director of Triangle Building & Housing Corporation.
“This is more than a property addition—it’s a step forward in supporting a thriving community of engineers, architects, and scientists at one of the nation’s premier universities,” said Dick Beaubien mich64, Triangle Building & Housing Corporation Chairman. “The house’s location is close to central campus and has more than 30 rooms and ample parking. I was a member of the Michigan House Corporation Board back when we acquired the property in the 1970’s. It is a place that Michigan Triangles are proud to call home. The TBHC Board is excited to partner with the Michigan Chapter to provide high-quality living and learning environments that align with the values of Triangle Fraternity.”
The expansion into Michigan reflects TBHC’s strategic vision to increase housing support for Triangle chapters nationwide. As the housing arm of Triangle Fraternity, TBHC ensures that members have access to safe, functional, and well-managed living spaces that enhance the fraternal and academic experience.
Work is already underway to assess property needs and opportunities in Ann Arbor. TBHC looks forward to collaborating with the Chapter’s Alumni Board, Actives, and university partners to deliver a housing solution that meets the chapter’s long-term goals.

About Triangle Building & Housing Corporation
With the progress of Triangle Fraternity, the Building Loan Fund knew it needed to evolve to support housing needs in parallel to the Fraternity’s vision. In 2014, it was decided that the BLF would transition to a stand-alone entity to enable a more dynamic response to the Fraternity’s housing needs.
In 2014 the Triangle Building & Housing Corporation was formed in order to own & manage chapter assets, increase loan & mortgage services, implement expanded educational training & programs, and partner with local house corporations & alumni to implement industry standard life safety programs & facilities.
Over the last eleven years, the TBHC has created a larger profile in direct partnerships with local alumni & house corporations to create and improve chapter opportunities across the realm. Learn more about the Triangle Building & Housing Corporation by visiting www.triangle.org/housing.
