TRIANGLE FRATERNITY

Leadership & Training Weekend (LTW)
This year’s LTW will be online, which is an opportunity for more members to participate. There will be tracks for chapter Presidents, Treasurers, Recruitment Chair, New Member Education Chair, Philanthropy/PR Chair and (new) an Emerging Leaders Track for new members and recent initiates.

We are designing the program to be low/no cost for chapters, depending upon whether you have CEF funds or not. There is no payment required to register and chapters that have men complete at least five separate tracks will be eligible for individual and chapter awards. Early Registration is $35 for most tracks and runs November 10-December 15. Late registration begins December 16 at $40 per track until registration closes on January 5.

Get more information and a link to the registration site here:  https://www.triangle.org/events/ltw2020/. The registration site works best with the Chrome web browser.

Are You Ready for Spring Recruitment?
More than 20 chapters worked with Director of Growth Jim Phillips in Fall and many were able to pledge more men this year than they did last year without a pandemic! We’ve found a solution to online/virtual recruitment that WORKS and the math is consistent between chapters that make an effort. If you plan on Spring new members, Jim suggests you have your names list built by Thanksgiving and begin direct contacts before Christmas.

Our Michigan Tech chapter said, “The new recruitment strategy that Jim helped us implement has proven to be quite robust despite the not-so-ideal circumstances Greek life recruitment is facing during the pandemic.” after they saw, “a 44.44% increase in chapter membership, and the largest recruitment class we’ve had in a long time.” Don’t wait on your campus/IFC, contact Jim at jim@triangle.org for ideas and assistance to design and execute your own growth program. #BuildTriangle Kickoff
#BuildTriangle is our comprehensive member development program focused on developing transferable skills that have both personal and organizational impact. Based on feedback from chapter leaders, the first module is ready! Our Organization Growth module is live and will educate you on the concept of growth and show proven, measurable methods to grow your chapter or other organization. It’s a great start to our lineup of modules and just in time to help you prepare for Spring recruitment.

The training is self-guided, which means you can complete it at your own pace. You can access it on your laptop or phone. There are eight chapters and each should take you roughly six minutes to complete. All undergraduate members should receive an email invitation with links and instructions to activate your account on ThinkIFIC. From there, you will want to visit the “Student Dashboard” tab and click the course titled “The Science Behind Growing Your Organization”. If you have questions or need assistance, contact Nicki Rowlett at nicki@triangle.org.

TRIANGLE BUILDING & HOUSING CORPORATION (TBHC)

Securing Houses for the Long Holiday Break
This year, many campuses will be ending classes and sending students home at Thanksgiving, expecting they will not return until January. That may mean an extended period where houses may be closed during the heart of winter. Prepare well in advance to protect the property from freezing temps and keep the building secure. Visit Favor and Company’s housing website for information, ideas, checklists and answers to properly close and protect housing during the holiday break here: https://favorandcompany.com/fraternal-insurance/property/
