With most campuses closed after Thanksgiving, we’re sending out HQ News a bit earlier this month. Here are things you need to know for December/early January…

LTW Registration: https://www.triangle.org/events/ltw2020/
Leadership & Training Weekend is January 15-17, with officer tracks for President, Treasurer, Recruitment, New Member Education, PR/Service and a track for Emerging Leaders. Early-bird registration ends December 15, so do what you can to get your members registered by then. These programs will be delivered online and are offset by grants from the Triangle Education Foundation, your Chapter Endowment Funds and Triangle Fraternity. More information and links to register online are here: https://www.triangle.org/events/ltw2020/

Call for Legislation: http://triangle.org/amend
With Convention scheduled for June 24, it’s time to announce the opportunity for members to offer ideas or recommendations for changes to the Constitution or Bylaws of the Fraternity.  If you have ideas or a specific change you’d like to suggest, please do so at the link below.  We’ll need your name, chapter and email.  All recommendations will go the National Council for review and consideration. NOTE: Recommendations for changes to the Constitutions and/or Bylaws must be received by January 15, 2021.

Recruitment Preparation for Spring
Many chapters that worked with Director of Growth and Expansion Jim Phillips ended the Fall with better results than last fall, without a pandemic.  Other chapters worked with Jim to secure the start of their Spring class and a few decided against any Fall recruitment effort (against our recommendations).  For most groups now, a strong Spring effort is necessary to stay at a stable membership size or grow.  Whatever your plan, work should start now to lay the groundwork for your Spring new member class.  Contact Jim at jim@triangle.org and/or visit the Recruitment Resources webpage at www.triangle.org/recruitment/.  We have a full semester of very strong data to guide you in making plans, but don’t wait until January to start the work!

From the Desk of Rhonda:
– Chapter Statements were emailed 12/1/20.  If there are any questions on the statement, please contact Rhonda at Rhonda@triangle.org or call her at 317-837-9640.  Balances due are expected by December 31.
– Second Quarter National Active fees will be invoiced in the next few days for those quarter schools who start the Winter term in December 2020.  All other second term National Active Fees will be invoiced in January as the schools start classes.
– A summary of membership fees can be downloaded HERE.  National Council will continue with the adjustment of NAFs and the Chapter Assessment fees to maintain the 2019-20 amounts on those fees.  Waivers on late fees end December 31.
